Moving is a fact of Army life.  Relocation Readiness has been an integral part of ACS since 1965. This program is designed to assist Soldiers and Families with transfers and relocations throughout the tour cycle.   Workshops, counseling and support focus on pre-move planning, moving, and settling into a new community.

Sponsorship: Apply for a sponsor today. A sponsor can help your family and you get acquainted in your new community and can help you find all the local resources, both military and civilian. Most U.S. Army Soldiers with pinpoint assignments can request a sponsor through S-Gate. DOD civilians, contractors, and military of other services should contact the gaining agency or Heidelberg ACS directly to request a sponsor.

Moving children: Moving families and changing schools is not easy but the U.S.A.G.Heidelberg Housing office and DoDEA schools will assist you after your arrival.

Moving pets: Pets are part of your household and they are very essential to the well-being of families. Pets are welcome, but make sure to follow pet shipping guidelines and visit Veterinarian Services.
