Middle School/Teen (MS/T) - The Middle School and Teen Programs operate separate programs for youth in grades 6-12. Fields trips, homework labs, Youth Technology Labs, and approved Club activities are offered at both the Middle School and Teen Program sites.
Program Options for Youth Program; grades
6 through 12:
- Youth ages 12 and above may sign in and out as they please. Younger youth need parental permission to leave the facility; however YP staff is not required to tell younger youth to remain on the premises.
- Summer camp for Middle School Teen operates from June through August
- Affiliated with National 4-H Counsel and Boys & Girls Clubs of America
On-going Events
• Daily, 3:00-4:00pm: Power Hour – get help with your homework from a tutor.
• Daily: Character Counts - Learn about character building.
• Daily, 4:00-5:00pm: Fine Arts Club - Learn about culture including museums, art, dance, music, theatre, and crafts.
• Mon, Wed & Thu, 5:00-6:00pm: Triple Play - A Game Plan for the Mind, Body and Soul. Improve Youth knowledge of healthy habits; increase number of hours per day youth participate in physical activities; and strengthen youth ability to interact positively with others and engage in positive relationships.
• Every Tue, 4:00-5:00pm: SMART Girls - Female Youth learn about different aspects of teen life.
• Every Tue, Thu and Fri: Fitness Authority - Learn how to exercise properly and pick up tips on healthy eating as well as double dutch. A partnership with the Sullivan Gym.
• Every Wednesday, 4:00-6:00pm: Eat Healthy Club - Learn how to prepare a simple and healthy snack, this is a partnership with the WIC program.
• Every Saturday 1:00-3:00pm: Movie Time - Choose a movie from our collection of movies and watch it with your friends.
