MOBILIZATION AND DEPLOYMENT READINESS is designed to support active and reserve component soldiers and their families, providing guidance and assistance to family members in their volunteer leadership roles within the Family Readiness Group and support to the command in maintaining an atmosphere of family well being. All activities promote self-development, self-reliance and resiliency during times of mobilization and deployment and foster teamwork in the total army. OPERATION R.E.A.D.Y. (Resources for Education About Deployment and You) is a training tool designed to provide Family Resource Group leaders, commanders, and rear detachment commanders through all phases of deployment. Classes: The following classes cans be requested by units: FRG Leader Roundtable – A support network for all FRG Leaders to meet, exchange ideas, and discuss issues. Updates on FRG related matters are also provided. A different training topic is presented quarterly. The Roundtable is conducted monthly with the exception of July and December. Point of Contact (POC) Training – A 2-hour block of instruction provides tools to fully equip volunteers with knowledge of building chain of concern roster, keeping an activity log, using effective communication, and community resources. Children at any age can sense when someone is gone. They may not know how to fully express themselves, but their actions can give you many signs. Communicate with your children; keep them in the loop. Remember, just because you are the adult, it does not mean that your child can not pick up on your feelings/emotions. • Preschool Activity Book Deployment Activity Resources Waiting Families: Join with other family members experiencing deployments.
