OUR MISSION:
We are committed to providing a positive, age-appropriate Sports & Fitness Program to promote healthy development for children and youth ages 3 years old through High School Senior. By partnering with 4H, Boys and Girls Clubs of America and other local sporting clubs, we are able to offer the highest quality individual and team sport opportunities.
We emphasize:
- A. creating an atmosphere for fun, enjoyment, and team play
- B. fostering the development of leadership and sportsmanship
- C. promoting participation and fun as the primary intent of the program.
- D. instilling values associated with the pursuit of sports, fitness, and health activities, in addition, particularly self-discipline and good decision-making respect and sense of belonging.
OUR PROGRAMS
Fitness Authority- The goal is
to promote fitness in all youth. Fitness levels are measured with
simple tests of endurance, flexibility, and strength.
Fitness Authority is held at Landstuhl Middle School/Teen Center on
Mondays from 1700-1800 and at Landstuhl Middle School Gym every
Tuesday from 0830-1000.
SAS
Fitness- a youth sports and fitness program for grades
1-5.
The SAS Fitness Program is held every Wednesday from 1600-1700 at
Landstuhl School Age Services.
HUGS- an interactive playgroup that is open to parents of
children ages 0-3. The meetings offer an opportunity for young
children to meet and play with other children their own age, in a
child safe environment.
HUGS playgroup meets every Tuesday from 1030-1200 at Bldg. 3701 on
Landstuhl and Thursday from 1030-1200 at Kids Zone on Pulaski.
START SMART- an initial developmental learning and training curriculum designed to assist very young children master basic and fine motor skills via developmentally appropriate learning activities to play sports and games.>
Intramural Sports- Intramural Sports- a youth sports, fitness, health awareness promotion and activity program for Middle School/Teen girls and boys designed to foster self esteem, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, motivation, fun and skill development. Intramural sports is held every Friday at Landstuhl Middle School/Teen Center from 1530-1630.
