Sales tax forms (Abwicklungsscheine) for tax-free purchases made by the MWR funds for military and civilian members of the U.S. Forces and their families.

Registration for Utility Tax Avoidance Program (UTAP) is a tax saving that is open to all military and authorized members of the U.S. Forces who occupy economy housing. Customers are required to provide the Tax Office the first bill received, a copy of rental agreement or proof of ownership, DEROS date and must pay a one-time $77 service fee.

Save 19% off most purchases! ID cardholders can save 19% off most German purchases on the economy (German tax = Mehrwertsteur). For transactions under 2,500 Euros, the fee is $4 per form. For transactions over 2,500 Euros, the fee is $6 per form and requires a check from the Tax Relief Office. For purchases over 2,500 Euros the customer needs to provide a cost estimate from the vendor and pay the Tax Office either in cash or certified check issued from the bank or a vendor made out to CMWRF.

VAT forms can now be purchased over the phone with a credit card and mailed to your APO. However, the customer must not have any outstanding forms in his/her possession.
