The School Liaison Officer works in conjunction with Child, Youth & School Services (CYSS), the Department of Defense Schools (DoDDS), and the Heidelberg Garrison to manage, coordinate, and facilitate education support services that maximize the opportunity for academic success for military children.

School Meal Program
For menus, nutrition information, program feedback, and more, visit the
AAFES School Meal Program site. Eligibility is based on family size and annual income.
Application packets must contain a copy of the most recent Leave and
Earnings Statement for the sponsor, a pay stub for a working spouse, and
orders listing family members. To process applications for free and reduced lunches please contact the CYSS Central Registration office:

Youth Sponsorship Program (YSP)
The goal of the YSP is to offer relocation and transition services to incoming students in grades 1-12. The program provides a local youth sponsor for new incoming youth at the appropriate age level; grades 1-5 use the School Age Services (SAS) YSP, grades 6-8 use the Middle School YSP and grades 9-12 use the Student-2-Student/Teen YSP.
