School Support Services works in conjunction with Child, Youth & School Services (CYSS), the Department of Defense Schools (DoDDS), and the Heidelberg Garrison to manage, coordinate, and facilitate education support services that maximize the opportunity for academic success for military children.
School Information
Heidelberg area DoDDS schools consist of:
- Patrick Henry Elementary School (grades K-5)
- Mark Twain Elementary School (grades 1-5)
- Heidelberg Middle School (grades 6-8)
- Heidelberg High School (grades 9-12)

Sponsors wishing to enroll their children with DoDDS should register directly with the school For Command-Sponsored Families, required paperwork for registration is:
- Sponsor's orders

School Meal Program
For menus, nutrition information, program feedback and more, visit the AAFES School Meal Program site. Eligibility is based on family size and annual income.
Applications packets must contain a copy of the most recent Leave and Earnings Statement for the sponsor, a pay stub for a working spouse and orders listing family members. To process applications for Free and Reduced Lunches please contact CYSS Parent Central Services.
